Half Moon Bay State Beach - 1 mile south of Half Moon Bay to Kelly Avenue, west on Kelly two miles to the park, 51 sites, dump station, beach access, no reservations but this is a very busy park, arrive early James V. Fitzgerald Marine Reserve is a great place to observe coastal tidepools at low tide. From Moss Beach take California St to the coast, Half Moon Bay. Monterey State Beach is a favorite place for surfers and tidepool watchers, kayaking, kite-flying and volleyball. Between Monterey and Seaside. San Simeon Beach is located near the historic town of San Simeon along Highway One and gives visitors the opportunity to hike, swim, fish and beachcomb. Camping available. Morro Strand State Beach is a coastal frontage park featuring outstanding picnic sites. Camping is also available. Morro Bay State Park features lagoon and natural bay habitat. The bay’s most prominent landmark is Morro Rock. The park also has a colorful marina and an 18-hole public golf course and camping is also available. Montana
de Oro State Park is a real treasure with 8,000 acres of cliffs,
streams, canyons and sandy ocean beaches. Primitive and
equestrian campgrounds and miles of trails to explore. Lopez
Lake - Great camping location 15 miles south of San Luis Obispo
and minutes from Pismo Beach. Drive along the coast to
Arroyo Grande and stay in one of 354 campsites scattered around
the lake. Swimming, fishing, boating, sailing, more. Santa Barbara County maintains 25 parks
with a host of activities available. Horesback riding, surfing, swimming, or just walking on beautifully maintained beaches are all available at Santa Barbara parks.
Ocean Beach, west of Lompoc, offers beach access, BBQ grills,
picnic tables, playground, restrooms.

at Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura makes the area a great place for swimming, surfing and fishing. Camping is first come, first serve. San Buenaventura State Beach, located in the city of Ventura, has two miles of sandy beach, sand dunes, picnic sites, a parking lot, a snack bar and a beach-equipment rental shop. A 1,700-foot pier has a snack bar, restaurant and bait shop.
