The Grays Harbor Historical Seaport is home to the The Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftan, replicas of 1700's sailing vessels.  The Seaport also offers sailing programs, charters, learning center and Seaport Landing which will include a 130 ft replica bark rigged lumber "schooner", which will give the appearance of a vessel ready to depart.

Aberdeen Museum, housed in the 1922 Armory Building, features a variety of  exhibits depicting Aberdeen's logging history and founding. 

Polson Museum in Hoquiam is housed on the Polson Mansion Grounds on the banks of the Hoquiam River.  This exceptional museum features 17 rooms of exhibits, extensive gardens and even a replica of the Polson Logging Company blacksmith shop.

Quinault Loop Road, 43 miles north of Aberdeen, through 700 year old trees, waterfalls, and the beautiful July Creek Picnic Area in an old growth grove beside the lake. Single lane gravel road after 7 miles. 

Quinault Lake and Rainforest, stroll along the 1/2 mile Quinault Rainforest Interpretive Nature Trail which  connects with the 4 mile Quinault Loop Trail offering a hike through the rainforest and along the lake.  Or hike further in on a variety of trails through this unspoiled area.

Three of the 10 biggest trees in the US are near Lake Quinault, according to the latest National Register of Big Trees. A western red cedar was fifth on the list, a sitka spruce was sixth, and a coastal douglas fir was ninth. The 159 foot cedar is on the north shore of the lake, the 191 foot spruce is on the south shore, and the 281 foot douglas fir sits in a grove on the south shore that includes 5 of the 10 biggest douglas firs on record.

At the Quinault Ranger Station you will want to stop and view the Kestner-Higley Homestead and walk the 1/2 mile Maple Glade Rain Forest Trail.
