Ocean Shores is Washington state's most visited seaside destination, hosting over four million visitors annually.  On the north side of Grays Harbor, the city of 35,000 features 6 miles of beaches, lakes and canals, and an array of entertainment, shopping and dining.  Hop the ferry to Westport and visit the historic sites of the Cranberry Coast and the Grays Harbor Wildlife Refuge.

The Ocean Shores Interpretive Center features several themed displays including Land, Sea, Forest, Local History, Native American History, Birds, and A Walk on the Beach.  Hours vary (360) 289-4617

Duck Lake offers a variety of activities including some of Washington's best fishing.

The Grays Harbor Historical Seaport is home to the The Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftan, replicas of 1700's sailing vessels.  The Seaport also offers sailing programs, charters, learning center and Seaport Landing which will include a 130 ft replica bark rigged lumber "schooner", which will give the appearance of a vessel ready to depart.

Take the 20 minutes ferry ride between Ocean Shores and Westport for a unique view of Grays Harbor.

Westport Marina is home to Washington's largest charter fishing fleet and offers 650 spaces, supplies, repair and full marina service.  Fish from the boardwalk, buy fresh seafood, or just watch the boats sail by.

Westport Maritime Museum, housed in a former Coast Guard station, invites you to discover life in a northwest seaport, with exhibits depicting cranberry growing, timber, fishing and whaling including a 30 ft rescue boat, the Destruction Island fresnel lens, and even the remains of a massive whale.

Grays Harbor Light dedicated in 1898, this is Washington's tallest light and tours can be scheduled through the museum. You can also take the Maritime Trail to the museum or Westhaven State Park to see more of this charming historic area.

Westhaven State Park a handicap accessible concrete boardwalk along the beach, connects Westport Light Station this park with Westhaven State Park 1.3 miles away

Surfers in Washington state head to Westport with 3 beaches to choose from, Westhaven State Park, Half Moon Bay, just behind the jetty beach, and the Finger Jetties. 

Grays Harbor Raceway Website 1/2 mile east of Elma, WA at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds features hobby stock, modified and sprint cars.

Grayland Beach State Park features camping, picnicking, fishing, clamming, kite flying, horseback riding, and beachcombing along 7,449 feet of the Pacific.

Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge

With 2,980 feet of Pacific shoreline, Ocean City State Park is a favorite for all beach activities and is particularly popular during razor clam season.

If beach camping is your thing, then Pacific Beach State Park is the destination.  In the town of Pacific Beach, the park features 60 campsites and 2,000 feet of shoreline. 

The Dixieland Jazz Festival brings bands from around the U.S.at five venues throughout Ocean Shores. Admission charged.
