
Construction of
Fort Canby began in July 1863 with additions made until WWII. The park also includes s visitor center commemorating Lewis and Clark reaching the Pacific Ocean and access to Cape Disappointment and North Head Lights. Camping, picnicing, boating, also available.

The Grays Harbor
Historical Seaport is home to the
The Lady Washington and
Hawaiian Chieftan, replicas of 1700's sailing vessels. The
Seaport also offers sailing programs, charters, learning center and
Seaport Landing which will include a 130 ft replica bark rigged lumber "schooner", which
will give the appearance of a vessel ready to depart.
Westport
Maritime Museum
- Housed in the
former Coast Guard Station, this museum houses cranberry, fishing,
whaling, and wildlife museum and is home to the historic Destruction
Island First Order Fresnel Lens. Don't miss the opportunity to view
the lens, with over 1,000 prisms, lit and rotating.
Willapa
Seaport Museum displays numerous artifacts from the regions nautical
past. Kids will especially enjoy the life-size fishing boat,
as well as a complete set of nets, lines, hooks, poles, and other
tools of the fishermans trade. Also a nice collection of period and

Carriage Museum
features a collection of 20 horse drawn carriages,

Pacific County Courthouse, dubbed 'The Gilded Palace of Extravagance' was built in 1909. It is on the National Register and, with its art glass done, is a beautiful building to view. South Bend

The Polson Museum in Hoquiam houses 17 rooms of fascinating history including period costumes, 1920's kitchen, and native artifacts. Children especially enjoy the Little Hoquiam Railroad and a quaint child's dollhouse.
If you ever wanted to learn anything about loggers of the past and their tools of the trade, the
Forks Timber Museum is the place to stop. The museum displays exhibit local history dating back to the 1870s.

The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center is the west-most museum of contemporary art in the contiguous United States. Of particular interest is the outdoor exhibition, opened with more than forty works by some three dozen Northwest artists.
Sequim Museum features a variety of exhibits displaying the unique heritage of the
area as well as Ice age treasures from land and sea with the
Mastadon exhibit, mammoth tusks and whalebones.
The Jefferson County Museum is located in Port Townsend's historic City Hall, dedicated in 1892, and contains four floors of artifacts, archives, family history and photographs.
