
Construction of
Fort Canby began in July 1863 with additions made until WWII. The park also includes s visitor center commemorating Lewis and Clark reaching the Pacific Ocean and access to Cape Disappointment and North Head Lights. Camping, picnicing, boating, also available.
The
World Kite Museum in Long Beach celebrates the achievements and magic of kiting world-wide.
Museum includes workshops, displays and featured exhibits from
Japanese to English to Sport Kits.
The Grays Harbor
Historical Seaport is home to the
The Lady Washington and
Hawaiian Chieftan, replicas of 1700's sailing vessels. The
Seaport also offers sailing programs, charters, learning center and
Seaport Landing which will include a 130 ft replica bark rigged lumber "schooner", which
will give the appearance of a vessel ready to depart.
Take the

ferry ride
between Ocean Shores and Westport for a unique view of Grays Harbor.

Wildlife-Heritage Sculpture Corridor
in Raymond, is a unique collection
of 200 silhouette sculptures representing the culture of the area from the wildlife
to native and logging history.
Willapa
Seaport Museum displays numerous artifacts from the regions nautical
past. Kids will especially enjoy the life-size fishing boat,
as well as a complete set of nets, lines, hooks, poles, and other
tools of the fishermans trade. Also a nice collection of period and

features a collection of
20 horse drawn carriages,
buggies and sleighs. Raymond,
next to the Seaport Museum
Port of Willapa Harbor
offers several local marinas, an historic "high dock" in Raymond,
and many light manufacturing and seafood distributors.
Quinault Lake and Rainforest,stroll along the 1/2 mile Quinault Rainforest
Interpretive Nature Trail which connects with the 4 mile Quinault Loop Trail offering a hike through the rainforest and along the lake. Or hike further in on a variety of trails through this unspoiled area.
The Hoh is the premier temperate rain forest in the United States because of the warming trend of the Japanese Current. The spur road to the Hoh Rain Forest is 13.2 miles south of Forks Washington and the visitor's center is 19 miles from the highway. Easy access.
One of the most beautiful points in the Olympic National Park is
Lake
Crescent , just 20 miles from Port Angeles. A variety of trails wind through the area including the trail to the 90'
Marymere Falls. After viewing these scenic areas, spend some relaxing time at
Sol Duc Hot Springs, then finish your day with a short hike to Sol Duc Falls.
James Island, west of the Quileute village of Lapush at the mouth of the Quillayute River, is the largest of the group of sea stacks of the Olympic National Park beaches.
Makah Cultural Center is one of the finest tribal museums in the nation. View extensive displays of the Makah people in Neah Bay.
The Cape Flattery Trail is a 3/4 mile trail on the tip of the Olympic Peninsula at the Makah Reservation. Observe ocean scenery and sea life that team together in the waters below in the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary.
The entrance to the northern section of majestic
Olympic National Park is
located just 6 miles south of Port Angeles. This area is a starting point to the popular
Hurricane Ridge,
Goblin's Gate, and the
Heart of the Hills trail and campground.
Among many others, the
Olympic Game Farm offers buffalo, tigers, zebras, wolves, yaks and bears as well as an aquarium. The Farm previously worked exclusively with Walt Disney Studios and is home to many former animal stars.
Visit one of the area
Lavendar Farms, a growing industry in the Sequim Area. Many farms are also open for picking lavendar during July and August, the harvest season.
The award winning City Pier is home to the
Fiero Marine Lab and the start of the very popular
Waterfront
Trail. This unique 5 mile trail wanders throughout the waterfront area and out to the unique Ediz Hook.
Seattle, one of the
largest cities in America, is known for its vibrant arts scene,

wondering through the cities many museums, such as the
Pacific Science Center which offers 5 buildings full of unique
