The Griffith Observatory features exhibits and planetarium shows and the popular, Laserium, which features music from perennial favorites like Pink Floyd and the Beatles. The construction of this art deco observatory was completed in the early 1930s and is one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.

The L.A. Zoo sits on 113 acres in the heart of Griffith Park and houses species from every corner of the globe.

The Page Museum is located at the Rancho La Brea Tar Pits, one of the world's most famous fossil localities, recognized for having an unusually diverse assemblage of extinct Ice Age plants and animals.

The Avila Adobe, built by Don Francisco Avila, is considered the oldest existing house in Los Angeles and now functions as a museum.

El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument, the birthplace of the City of Angels. 27 historic buildings with a traditional Mexican style plaza area where you can shop for souvenirs and handcrafted Mexican wares.

Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust was opened in the 60's and houses  hundreds of historic artifacts, photographs and documents as well as precious family and religious treasures, professional and cultural arts memorabilia.

Museum of Neon Art is a unique organization which exhibits, documents and preserves contemporary fine art in electric media and outstanding examples of neon signs.  The only one in the world and quite a reasonable outing at just $5.00.
