Yurts (circular domed tents with plywood floors) are available from rent $35 per night at eight coastal parks. Yurts are furnished with a space heater, lights and beds, and are reservable up to one year in advance.

CENTRAL COAST CAMPGROUNDS

Devil's Lake State Park  East off U.S. 101, in Lincoln City on the central Oregon coast.  Open year-round.  Campsites: 32 full hookup, 68 (max. RV length 35'). Hiker/biker camp. Showers. Boating access at the day-use area on the east side of the lake. Accessible campsites (1F, 1T), fishing dock for people with disabilities. Reservations accepted.

Beverly Beach State Park  On the east side of U.S. 101, 7 miles north of Newport on the central Oregon coast. campground open year-round. Campsites: 53 full hookup, 75 electric, 151 tent (max. RV length 65'), 2 yurts. Group tent camping. Showers. Trails. Accessible campsites (1F, 1E, 1T), restrooms, showers for people with disabilities. Reservations accepted.

South Beach State Park  On U.S. 101, 2 miles south of Newport near the central Oregon coast's Yaquina Bay.   campground open year-round. Campsites: 254 electric (max. RV length 35'), 2 yurts. Tillicum USFS campground From Waldport, OR, take US Rt. 101 south 3.6 miles to campground .  One of the few campgrounds right near the Pacific.   Open All Year; 10 day maximum; 58 camp sites; no RV hookups; gray water disposal tub at the bathrooms. Beachcombing and enjoying the Pacific

Beachside State Park  On U.S. 101, 4 miles south of Waldport on the central Oregon coast. campground is open year-round. Campsites: 32 electric, 49 tent (max. RV length 30'). Hiker/biker camp. Showers. Accessible campsite (2E), restrooms, showers for people with disabilities. Reservations accepted.

Blackberry USFS campground    In Waldport, OR, take State Rt. 34 east 17.8 miles to campground sign. Turn right at sign into campground   A nicely wooded campsite overlooking the Alsea River.  Open All Year Maximum 10 days; 31 sites, no tent or rv hookups, gray water disposal; Hot showers,playground, public phone, rafting, Coho, Chinook and Steelhead fishing No reservations

Canal Creek USFS campground   In Waldport, OR, take State Rt. 34, 7 miles east to campground sign (Forest Rt. 3462). At sign, turn right onto Rt. 3462 and go 4 miles to another campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground .    Sites sit along Canal Creek in a spance of Douglas Fir.   Open All Year; 10 day Maximum; No RV Hookups; 11 Sites and  Tent Pads; Group Tent Sites,  Fishing for Cutthroat Trout

Cape Perpetua USFS campground  From Yachats, OR, take US Rt. 101  2.1 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign, then bear right immediately into campground . campground is located in the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area along Cape Creek. This site is in the midst of one of the Oregon Coast's pristine areas with old growth forest, wildlife viewing areas, whale viewing, tidal pools for exploring aquatic life, panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and historic sites dating back to the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930's. Open May 10 through October 25;  10 day maximum; 25 sites; Waste Station

Rock Creek USFS campground From Yachats, OR, take 101 south 9.4 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground . Lovely campground located along Rock Creek in a grove of large, old Spruce trees with lush green undergrowth.   Near Cape Perpetua, Heceta Lighthouse, Sea Lion Caves and more. SEASONS Open May 10 through October 14 day maximum; 15 sites, No RV hookups; fish for cutthroat trout in Rock Creek; or cross 101 and walk 1/4 mile to the beach.

Carl G. Washburne Memorial State Park  On U.S. 101, 14 miles north of Florence on the central Oregon coast.  campground open year-round.  Campsites: 58 full hookup, 2 tent, 6 (walk-in) primitive (max. RV length 50'). Hiker/biker camp. Showers. Trails. Accessible campsite (1F) for people with disabilities.  FREE Night Coupon

Alder Dune USFS Campground   North of Florence 4.1 miles to campground sign.  Turn left into campground .  Campground is between and alongside Alder and Dune Lakes with swimming, fishing and canoeing.  No motor boating allowed.  It is heavily wooded in pine and Alder trees and there is a nice trail around the lakes.  10 day maximum, 35 sites,  3 tent sites, no rv hookups or dump-station, no reservations  Open Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Sutton USFS Campground from Florence, OR, take 101 north 2.3  to campground sign, turn left and go another mile to campground .   Campground is heavily wooded with Cedar, Spruce and Alder. There is heavy understory (including Rhododendron) providing seclusion between sites. Some sites are adjacent to Sutton Creek. Open All Year; electric extra; 10 day maximum;   15 electric hookups; No full hookups;  Playground, Swimming, Boat Ramp, Power Boating at Sutton Lake, fish for trout, bass and salmon.

Harbor Vista is a 15 acre park near Heceta Beach.  Take 35th to Rhododendron, turn right, go about 3 miles to park sign.  Park is situated overlooking the Pacific amid shrubbery and shore pine.  7 tent sites, 31 RV sites with water and electric, open year round, showers, playground, trails  Lane County Park Reservations accepted (541) 997-5987

Jessie M. Honeyman State Park  On U.S. 101, 3 miles south of Florence in the central Oregon coast dunes area.   Campsites: 68 full hookup, 75 electric, 238 tent (max. RV length 55'), 2 yurts. Group tent, hiker/biker camps. Trailer dump station. Showers. Swim area. Concession restaurant/store. Accessible campsites (2F, 1T), restrooms, showers for people with disabilities. Reservations accepted.

Tyee USFS Campground From Florence, OR, take US Rt. 101 south 6 miles to campground and turn left. The campground is located along the Siltcoos River with sites overlooking the river. Campground is conveniently located to the Siltcoos Recreation Area - Siltcoos Lake, dunes, ATV/ORV activities, Pacific Ocean beach, etc. Open April 1 through October 31.$13 per day ($7 per day for 2nd vehicle) 10 day maximum 13 sites Fishing in Siltcoos Lake for crappie, bass, trout and more.

Carter Lake USFS Campground RESERVATIONS From Florence, OR, take US Rt. 101 south 7.5 miles to campground sign. Turn right at sign into campground .   Campground is situated between large sand dunes with trails through the sand dunes and to the beach. Some sites overlook the lake.  There are trails leading into the sand dunes and beach. Open May 1 through September 30. 0 day Maximum 23 Sites No RV Hookups  Swimming hiking, fishing for rainbow trout. 

Waxmyrtle USFS Campground From Florence, OR, take US Rt. 101 south 8 miles to Siltcoos Campground Beach Access; turn right and go 1 mile to campground sign; Turn left and cross the bridge to the campground entrance. Secluded area with shore pines, rhododendron and dunes shrubbery.. Open May 15 through October 18; 10 day maximum; 54 sites

Driftwood USFS Campground   RESERVATIONS  From Florence, OR, 101 south 7 miles to Siltcoos Campground Beach Access sign. Turn right, 1 1/2 miles to campgournd. Campground is designed primarily for ATV and ORV use on the Oregon Dunes. It is a large paved parking lot with designated sites.  Open All Year; Reduced rates; November through February; 10 day maximum;  69 sites, no RV hookups; gray water disposal facilities. Siltcoos Lake fishing for Rainbow and Cutthroat, Steelhead, Bass, Crappie, and Bluegill

Lagoon USFS Campground From Florence, OR, take101 south 7.7 miles to Siltcoos Campground Beach Access sign, turn right and travel about a mile to campground .  Beach access, nice area with Shore pines, rhododendron and shrubs. The campground is adjacent to the Lagoon Trail with platforms that provide wildlife viewing on a wetland. The nearby Waxmyrtle Trail goes along the Siltcoos River to ocean beach. Open All Year  Reduced rates Nov -Feb 10 day maximum; No RV Hookups; 39 sites; Hike the 1/2 mile Lagoon Trail loop or 2 miles Siltcoos Lake Trail loop; Fish in the Lagoon for Smallmouth Bass and Crappie; In the Siltcoos River for Rainbow Trout and in Siltcoos Lake - Bass, Rainbow & Cutthroat Trout, Steelhead, Yellow Perch, Crappie and Bluegill

Tahkenitch USFS Campground From Florence, OR, take US Rt. 101 south 12.5 miles to campground sign. At sign, turn right into campground .  The campground is heavily wooded and located between great sand dunes and Tahkenitch Lake. Lots of huckleberries and blackberries. Open All Year; Reduced rates November through February. 10 day maximum; Boat Ramp; Power Boating; Hike Three Mile Trail - 3 miles Tahkenitch Dunes - 2 miles fish for Cutthroat Trout, Steelhead, Largemouth Bass, Yellow Perch, Bluegill and Crappie

Tahkenitch Landing USFS Campground From Florence, OR, take US Rt. 101 south 12.1 miles to campground sign. Turn left into campground . Campground is located adjacent to Tahkenitch Lake next to boat ramp. Sites 1 through 8 overlook lake and accommodate only small "pup" type tents. Campground is wooded with mixed pine and Cedar.Open All Year 10  Boat ramp; power boating; fishing

The Loon Lake Recreation Area From Reedsport, travel east 13 miles on Highway 38. Turn right at Loon Lake exit follow Mill Creek Road about seven miles south. The park sits on the shores of Loon Lake and features a, sandy beach for swimming, 62 camp sites nestled in a Douglas fir forest, a nature trail that leads to a cascading water fall, and a boat launch ramp.  Dump station and showers.  Open Memorial Day through Fall,

William M. Tugman State Park   Off U.S. Hwy. 101, 8 miles south of Reedsport. Campsites: 115 electric (max. RV length 50'). Hiker/biker camp. Trailer dump station. Showers. Boat ramp. Swim area. Accessible campsites (2E), restrooms, fishing dock for people with disabilities.

Umpqua Lighthouse State Park   Off U.S. Hwy. 101, 6 miles south of Reedsport in the central Oregon coast dunes area, Campsites: 22 full hookup, 41 tent (max. RV length 45'). Trails.

SOUTHERN COAST BEACHES

Roads End Beach Protected by the headland, this is a favorite of sailboarders and those just seeking a quiet walk on the beach.   A short path descends to the beach, with tidepools and a bubbling creek to explore.

D River Beach is the location of the world's smallest river, which flows 120 feet from Devils Lake into the ocean. A favorite of kite fliers, the windy beach at Lincoln City also hosts two kite festivals every year.

Otter Rock Great summer surf spot and location of the annual longboard contest, “The Cowabunga Classic”.

Agate Beach State Park - Day Use area one mile north of Newport. Picnicking, fishing, viewpoint, exhibit information.

Neptune Wayside - 3 mi s of Yachats, View Cummings Creek or hike down to look for agates, at low tide explore the tidepools and walk south to see a natural seacave.   No Fee

Devils Elbow - Located at Heceta Head, this beach offers the best of the Oregon Coast in one spot.  Sandy beach, tide pools, sparkling creek flowing under a McCullough Bridge, waves crashing against the cliffs, plenty of wildlife and picnic tables to spend an hour or an afternoon.

Heceta Beach - Just outside Florence, long stretch of beach is a favorite for long walks and beachcombing.
