Cape Perpetua USFS campground From Yachats, OR, take US Rt. 101 2.1 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign, then bear right immediately into campground . campground is located in the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area along Cape Creek. This site is in the midst of one of the Oregon Coast's pristine areas with old growth forest, wildlife viewing areas, whale viewing, tidal pools for exploring aquatic life, panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and historic sites dating back to the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930's. Rock Creek USFS campground From Yachats, OR, take 101 south 9.4 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground . Lovely campground located along Rock Creek in a grove of large, old Spruce trees with lush green undergrowth. Near Cape Perpetua, Heceta Lighthouse, Sea Lion Caves and more. Alder Dune USFS Campground North of Florence 4.1 miles to campground sign. Turn left into campground . Campground is between and alongside Alder and Dune Lakes with swimming, fishing and canoeing. No motor boating allowed. It is heavily wooded in pine and Alder trees and there is a nice trail around the lakes. 10 day maximum, 35 sites, 3 tent sites, no rv hookups or dump-station, no reservations Open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Sutton USFS Campground from Florence, OR, take 101 north 2.3 to campground sign, turn left and go another mile to campground . Campground is heavily wooded with Cedar, Spruce and Alder. There is heavy understory (including Rhododendron) providing seclusion between sites. Some sites are adjacent to Sutton Creek. Harbor Vista is a 15 acre park near Heceta Beach. Take 35th to Rhododendron, turn right, go about 3 miles to park sign. The nearby Waxmyrtle Trail goes along the Siltcoos River to ocean beach. The Loon Lake Recreation Area From Reedsport, travel east 13 miles on Highway 38. Turn right at Loon Lake exit follow Mill Creek Road about seven miles south. SOUTHERN COAST BEACHES
Roads End Beach Protected by the headland, this is a favorite of sailboarders and those just seeking a quiet walk on the beach. A short path descends to the beach, with tidepools and a bubbling creek to explore.
D River Beach is the location of the world's smallest river, which flows 120 feet from Devils Lake into the ocean. A favorite of kite fliers, the windy beach at Lincoln City also hosts two kite festivals every year.
Otter Rock Great summer surf spot and location of the annual longboard contest, “The Cowabunga Classic”.
Agate Beach State Park - Day Use area one mile north of Newport. Picnicking, fishing, viewpoint, exhibit information.
Neptune Wayside - 3 mi s of Yachats, View Cummings Creek or hike down to look for agates, at low tide explore the tidepools and walk south to see a natural seacave. No Fee
Devils Elbow - Located at Heceta Head, this beach offers the best of the Oregon Coast in one spot. Sandy beach, tide pools, sparkling creek flowing under a McCullough Bridge, waves crashing against the cliffs, plenty of wildlife and picnic tables to spend an hour or an afternoon.
Heceta Beach - Just outside Florence, long stretch of beach is a favorite for long walks and beachcombing.
