For a beautiful drive through Oregon's rugged wilderness, drive from
Gold Beach to Agness along the Rogue River. The Oregon coastline is unsurpassed, but you'll also find gorgeous scenic vistas on the roads inland.
For an even more scenic view of the Rogue, a ride on the historic
Mail Boat is a must for the Oregon Coast visitor. The Original Mail Boats have been delivering U.S. mail to Agness since 1895.

Quiet, secluded
camping
at Gold Beach on Forest Service Road 33 on the Rogue River. Several campsites to choose from, dump station at Quosatana. Also on this road is the
Schrader Old Growth Trail, a 1 mile loop through some of the oldest Douglas firs and hardwoods in the northwest. Check out all the great recreation opportunities on the
Siskiyou Nat Forest.
